Ashok Travels. is located at house number 8-127 in Azad Nagar. We are right near the Veerachary Mill in Kodad. The mill is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been operating out of this house for several years now. Kodad is a busy place, and there’s always someone needing a ride to the next town or the city. We keep our vehicles parked out front where we can keep an eye on them. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s usually someone around the house to answer the door. We don't have a big call center. It’s just a mobile phone that stays on the kitchen counter. We do a lot of driving across the district and even further into Telangana sometimes. The roads can be tough on the cars, so we spend our weekends doing repairs and maintenance. It’s dusty work, but it has to be done. We don't have a lot of fancy brochures or a shiny office. People just know us as the travel folks near the mill. We like the independence of working for ourselves. My son is learning the routes now, so he helps out when I’m tired. We take it one day at a time and try to keep things moving. It’s a decent way to live and stay connected to the community here. If the weather is nice, we usually sit outside and wait for the phone to ring. The neighborhood kids sometimes help wash the windshields for a few coins.
