Our office is basically just a room in House Number 147/9 in Madhyam Mena Para. It’s right in the middle of Belsor village in Nalbari. Being based in a place like this means everybody knows who you are and what you're doing. We started Sarombika Buildtech because we saw a lot of neighbors needing help with their construction projects and didn't want to hire some big company from far away that doesn't understand the local ground. We work mostly with local materials and laborers from around the village area. It’s a bit of a trek to the bigger towns sometimes for specific supplies, but we always make it work somehow. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks and a lot of blueprints and notebooks. We spend a lot of time talking to neighbors about their home plans over tea. The pace of life in Nalbari is different, and we try to match that rhythm. We don't rush through things just to get to the next job quickly. If a wall needs to be straight, we take the extra time to make it straight. Sometimes the monsoon rains stop us for weeks, and there's nothing you can do but wait for the mud to dry out. We've grown up here, so we know the challenges of the terrain. It’s just us, working hard and trying to build things that will last for the families in our community.
