If you look for us, you will find us at Room Number 10 in Kuwaritol, which is part of the Kaliabornagaon area in Assam. It is not a big place, just a simple room where the Primary Health Care Mission India Association does its thing. People in this part of Kaliabor often have to travel a bit for basic things, so we try to be a point of contact for health matters right here. We aren't a big hospital or anything like that. Most of the time, we are just talking to people about keeping healthy or where they should go if they have a real problem. The room gets a little hot in the summer, but it is right in the heart of the village, so everyone knows where to find us. We keep a few basic supplies and a lot of records in there. It’s mostly just us locals helping other locals. We don’t have a big budget, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside and keep talking. It’s a quiet life here in Kaliabornagaon, and we like it that way. We spend our days making sure our neighbors are doing okay and that nobody is being left behind when it comes to basic health info. It’s practical work and it’s what we know. We just take it one person at a time without making a big deal of it.
