The post office nearby is Sawkuchi. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but it’s where we are every day. This part of town is usually quite busy with people coming and going. The office itself is pretty simple and doesn’t have much in the way of decoration. We use the space for our impex work and whatever other ventures we are currently involved in. It’s a lot of tracking shipments and keeping an eye on the details. Sometimes the road nearby gets quite dusty because of all the construction and the trucks passing through Lokhra Chariali. We’ve gotten used to the noise and the general hum of the area. It’s a practical place to work from. Most of us here are local, so we don't have far to travel in the mornings. We don't have any big corporate meetings; we just talk across the desks when something needs to be decided. It’s a small, family-style operation where everyone knows what they need to do. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks for the day. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we like the independence it gives us.
