So, we are over here at Shop No.5 in Santosh Bhavan. It’s part of Sai Apartment in Nalasopara East. We spend most of our time folded up among the fabrics and rolls of cloth. The trains are always loud nearby, and people are always rushing past the shop front. It gets dusty, but we keep the shutters up from morning till late. Some days are just about moving rolls of cloth from one corner to the other. There isn't much space, but we make it work. Usually, we're just drinking tea and waiting for the next person to walk in. Nalasopara is a busy place, especially this side of the tracks. The apartment building itself is old, but everyone knows it. We don't do anything fancy. We just stock what people need for their clothes or curtains. Sometimes the light inside the shop is a bit dim, but you can still see the patterns well enough. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves. If the weather is bad, the street gets a bit messy, but that’s just how it is here. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Most people find us because they live in the apartments upstairs or they’re heading to the station. We don't have a big sign, just the name G.D Textile above the door. It’s a simple setup. We just keep the inventory moving and talk to the regulars who stop by for a chat every day.
