Urros Education

We are located over in Phulwari on Beni Road, which is right near Shravan Hospital. It can be a bit of a hectic spot because of all the ambulances and people going to the clinic, but we have gotten used to the noise. Our building is a simple one, and we spend most of our time inside planning out lessons and talking to parents who drop by. Education is a lot of work, and it isn't always pretty. There are piles of notebooks everywhere and teachers trying to find their chalk or markers before the next session starts. We don't have a shiny lobby or leather chairs. Most of our furniture is just practical stuff that can take a bit of a beating from the kids. Some days are really loud when everyone is here, and other days it is just the sound of pens scratching on paper. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many students coming through, there’s always a stray pen or a crumpled piece of paper on the floor. We aren't trying to be the biggest school around; we just want to make sure the kids who come here actually learn something useful. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the paperwork, and the hospital lights across the street are the only things we see. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we do every day to keep things moving forward for everyone.
