Thakur Poly Clinic

Our clinic is at 216 Shidhi Ghat Lane in Bakhtiarpur. We are right opposite the C.M. House. It’s a pretty easy landmark for anyone coming from outside the neighborhood. The lane itself is a bit narrow, so it can get crowded when there are a lot of rickshaws around. Thakur Poly Clinic is a small place. We have a front room where people wait and a couple of smaller rooms for consultations. The walls have a few scuffs here and there, but we keep the place tidy. We have a bench outside under the awning for when it’s too crowded inside. The C.M. House across the street usually has some guards standing around, so the lane feels safe. We open the shutters early in the morning. The air inside can get a bit warm, so we have a couple of stand fans that we move around. Our records are mostly kept in big blue registers. We use a lot of pens. People from the nearby houses often stop by just to ask a quick question. It’s that kind of place. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just a board with the name. The floors are stone and they stay relatively cool. We usually close up once the sun goes down and the lane gets quiet. It’s just a regular part of life here in Bakhtiarpur for us. We keep a small first aid kit right by the main desk just in case.
