Sri Hanuman Bhandar

Sri Hanuman Bhandar is located in Silao, which is in the Nalanda district. It is a very old place with a lot of history all around it. We are right there at the post in Silao. Our shop is where we keep all the stock for our customers. It is a simple place with wooden counters and bags of grain piled up high against the walls. We have been here for many years, and most people in the village know us by name. We don't have a website or any fancy brochures to hand out. If you need something, you just walk in through the door and ask us. The air in Silao always feels a bit dusty, especially near the main roads where the buses go by. We open up the shutters early and close them late at night. Sometimes we sit outside on the wooden bench when business is a bit slow and just watch the people go by. Nalanda is a famous area for tourists, but our corner of it is just regular everyday life. We deal with the local produce and the supplies that people around here need. It is not a glamorous job, just handling goods and talking to the regular customers. We take pride in just being a steady part of the local market here. If you are ever passing through Silao, you will find us easily enough. We are just a local bhandar doing our thing.
