Shantidoot Welfare Foundation is run out of Devi Sarai in Biharsharif. You can find us at Sri Kamlesh Kumar’s place. Nalanda is a place with a lot of history, but our daily life is pretty modern and busy. The streets around Biharsharif-2 are always crowded with cycles and people selling things. We are just a small part of that local scene. No big corporate office with air conditioning exists here. It’s just a practical space where we can get our work done. Starting this was a result of seeing things in our own neighborhood that needed attention. Mostly, it's about helping out with small stuff that adds up over time. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. A couple of old tables and some chairs for visitors are all we really need. Most of our work happens through word of mouth. Someone tells a neighbor about us, and then they show up at the door. Big words and trying to sound important aren't for us. We are just local residents who care about Biharsharif. Some days are quiet and we just catch up on paperwork. Other days, it’s a bit chaotic with people coming and going. We take it as it comes. There’s no big secret to what we do. Staying here and helping whoever walks through the door is the job. It’s honest work and we like it that way.
