Nalanda Heritage School

Nalanda Heritage School is located right near Mahabodhi College on Nirpur Road. It is a quiet spot in Nalanda, though things get busy when the morning bell rings. We have been here for a while now. The building sits back from the road a bit. Every morning, you see parents dropping their kids off on scooters or walking them to the gate. Our teachers live nearby mostly. They walk in with their bags and start getting the boards ready. The rooms have large windows that let in some light from the fields around us. During lunch, the kids run around the yard. It gets dusty, but they don't seem to mind. We spend our days making sure everyone stays on task with their books. It is a lot of work keeping a school running in this part of town. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just open the doors wider to get more air and light. People around here know us as the school down the road from the college. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many students, there is always something to fix. The Nirpur Road area is growing, so there are more houses popping up lately. We just focus on the daily stuff, like checking notebooks and making sure the water cooler is full. It is a normal place with normal people trying to get through the lessons before the afternoon heat sets in. We keep things simple here.
