Monalisa Handicraft

If you are visiting Rajgir, you can find us at Ward No.19, right near the Rajgir Kund. We are also quite close to the Green Hotel, which is a big landmark around here. Our shop, Monalisa Handicraft, is in a very busy area because of all the tourists coming to see the hot springs. We sell a lot of different things made by local hands. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when more than three people come in at once. We have things hanging from the ceiling and piled on the floor. Most of our work involves managing the inventory and talking to the people who walk in off the street. Since we are near the Kund, it gets very humid, and the air always feels a bit damp. We spend our time dusting the shelves and trying to keep everything looking decent. It’s a simple life. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just wait for people to wander in while they are on their way to the sights. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when it’s quiet and watch the pilgrims go by. We’ve been in this ward for a long time and know everyone around here. It’s a good spot to be in, even if it gets a bit noisy with all the bells and crowds. We try to keep things organized but it is always a bit cluttered.
