Manibaba Iron & Steel Private Limited is based out of Biharsharif, specifically over in the Soh Sarai area. You can find us at Sushil Kumar’s place. It’s a busy part of town and our yard is usually piled up with all kinds of iron rods and steel sheets. It gets pretty dusty here, especially when the trucks are coming in and out all day. We aren't a big fancy company with a glass building. It’s just a practical workspace where we handle the metal that people need for building their houses or shops. Sometimes the noise of the metal clanging is so loud you can’t even hear the person next to you talking. We spend most of our time checking the inventory and making sure the weights are right. The sun gets really hot in Bihar, and that metal absorbs all the heat, so we have to be careful when we are moving things around in the afternoon. People from the local neighborhoods come by to talk about their projects and see what we have in stock. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just see someone with grease on their hands or a bit of rust on their clothes. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just focus on getting the iron and steel out to whoever needs it without making things more complicated than they have to be.
