Hemvish Developing India Foundation

You can find us at 142 K in Thunhi, which is near the Chandwak post office. It’s a simple spot in a place that doesn't get a lot of attention. We like being in Thunhi because it’s quiet and we can just get on with things here at Hemvish Developing India Foundation. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place that keeps the rain out. 142 K is our little corner of the world. Chandwak is the closest main point for mail and things like that. Most days are pretty much the same. We come in, sit down, and start working on whatever needs doing. There are a few trees around the property that give some shade during the middle of the day. The road outside isn't paved very well, so it can be a bit bumpy if you are coming in a car. We don't have many visitors, but when we do, we usually just sit in the main room and talk. It’s a very grounded atmosphere. We don’t go for any of that modern office decor. It’s mostly just wooden desks and some old shelves. We’ve been at this address for a while and don't really see a need to go anywhere else. It’s home for the foundation. People in the village know us by now. It’s a small operation, just a few of us trying to stay busy and stay here in this part of the country. That is pretty much our daily routine.
