Dayaram Education And Welfareassociation is out in the Nalanda district. Specifically, we’re located in a small village called Kobil within the Bardih panchayat. It’s in the Islampur block, which is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the bigger cities. We work out of Raj Brind Singh’s place. Life in the village moves at its own speed, and we try to keep up with that. We focus a lot on the kids and the families living nearby because that’s what’s needed here. It’s not a fancy setup at all. We have a few rooms where we get together to plan things out. Most of the people involved are from right here in the village or the neighboring tolas. We know the struggles people face with school and daily life because we live it too. We don’t have a big budget, so we make do with what we have on hand. It’s about being practical and helping each other out. Some days we are teaching, other days we are just fixing things up around the area. It’s messy sometimes, and things don't always go according to plan, but we keep at it. We aren't here for fame. We just want to see the local kids have a better shot at things. It’s just us doing what we can in our little corner of Nalanda.
