Aask Infrastructure Private Limited is a small firm based in Ranabigha. We are located at the residence of Sunita Devi and her husband Arun Kr. Singh. It is a family-type atmosphere here, not a cold corporate office with a bunch of strangers. We handle infrastructure projects, which sounds like a big word, but mostly it is just fixing things and building basic structures that people need in the area. We aren't into flashy advertising or trying to sound more important than we are. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around Ranabigha. We have a small crew that has been with us for a while, and we just try to keep everyone busy and paid. Some weeks we are swamped and other times we are waiting for the next job to start. That is just the way the construction business goes. We don't have any fancy mission statements or long-term goals that we put on posters. We just show up, do the work, and hope it lasts a long time for whoever we built it for. It is about being honest and putting in a hard day's labor for the pay. If you come by the house, you can usually find one of us talking about materials or looking at some plans for a new project. It’s a very grounded way to run a small business.
