Kandhari Beverages Pvt. Ltd. is located out in Village-Katha. It is part of the Nalagarh area, which is tucked away in Solan. Being out here means we are surrounded by hills, which is nice when you look out the window. The factory is quite large compared to the local houses around here. We have trucks coming in and out at all hours of the day. The sound of the machinery is constant once the shift starts. I’ve been working here for a while now, mostly keeping track of the inventory. It’s a lot of walking across the warehouse floor. Solan can get quite cold in the winter, so we all wear heavy jackets under our work clothes. The village of Katha is quiet otherwise, but our place brings a lot of movement to the road. We don't really have a front office for visitors, it's mostly just a working site. Sometimes the water supply is a bit of a worry, but we manage. Most of the staff comes from the nearby towns. We eat our lunch together in a small room near the back. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We produce a lot of bottles every week. Loading the crates onto the big lorries takes a lot of coordination. You have to be careful not to break anything. It is just a regular industrial day for all of us and we stay focused.
