Sri Krishna Sai Rice Mill

Sri Krishna Sai Rice Mill is located right opposite the railway station in Behram. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains going by all day long, but you get used to it after a week or two. It’s actually quite handy for people coming into town from Goraya or other nearby spots. The mill stays pretty busy most of the year. There is always dust in the air and the sound of machines running in the background. We have been operating out of this spot for a long time now. It’s an old building, nothing special to look at, but it does what it needs to do. Most of the guys working here have been around for years. We know the machines and we know how the grain behaves depending on the weather. When the season is busy, things can get a bit hectic around the station area with trucks coming and going. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes it’s just chaotic. That’s just how life at a rice mill goes. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. If you need someone, you usually have to walk back into the main shed and find them. We keep things simple. No need for anything fancy when you are dealing with rice and machinery all day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do. The location near the station makes it a bit of a landmark in Behram. Everyone around here knows where the mill is.
