Site Engineer

I live and work out of the Railway Colony in Najibabad, specifically Q.No.-T-16/D. Being in Bijnor district, the weather changes a lot, and that affects the work quite a bit. As a Site Engineer, I spend most of my time away from this quarter. I’m usually out at various construction spots, making sure the levels are right and the materials are what they should be. The Railway Colony has a certain feel to it, with the sound of the trains being a constant backdrop. My office is basically a corner of my living space where I keep my transit level and my boots. It is not very organized, but I know where everything is. The projects I handle are scattered all over the district, so I do a lot of traveling on these roads. Some days are just long stretches of standing in the sun, followed by paperwork in the evening. I don't have a big team or a fancy office in the city. It is just me doing the technical work and keeping things on track. I’ve been around Najibabad for long enough to know most of the local suppliers and workers. It’s a practical way to live. I don’t spend much on marketing or anything like that. People mostly find me through word of mouth or seeing me on a site. It’s a decent life, even if my clothes are always a bit stained with cement.
