Sai Hospital

You’ll find Sai Hospital over on Kaladhungi Road, not too far from Mukhani Chauraha. It’s a convenient spot for people living around here. We’ve been in this building for quite a bit now. The interior is pretty basic. We have a few wards and some private rooms for patients who need to stay over. The staff works in shifts, so there is always someone around, even in the middle of the night. It gets quiet then, except for the occasional car passing by on Kaladhungi Road. We keep a lot of records in big filing cabinets behind the desk. It’s not all digital like the big city places, but we know where everything is. The nurses often share tea in the small breakroom when things slow down. Mukhani Chauraha is always buzzing, so we get a lot of walk-ins. Some days are harder than others, especially when the waiting room is full of people waiting to see the doctor. We try to move things along, but sometimes things take time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’re clean enough. We focus on getting people seen and sent home when they're ready. It's a local place through and through. Most of us grew up in this area or nearby, so we see a lot of familiar faces coming through the doors every week. It feels more like a community center than a cold medical clinic. We just do our best with what we have here.
