Radha Supermarket

Radha Supermarket is found on the Rudrapur Main Road. We are situated near the road that leads up to the hill station in Nainital, so we get a real mix of people coming through the doors. Some are locals who have lived in the area for decades, and others are tourists who are just passing through and need some snacks or water for the long drive up. The weather here can get quite cold, especially in the winter months, so we keep the shop well-stocked with tea and soup. It’s a busy road, and you can hear the cars honking outside all through the day. Inside, we have rows of shelves that we try to keep full, though sometimes the supply trucks get delayed by the weather in the mountains. We are a family-run place, so you’ll often see my kids helping out after school or on the weekends. It’s not a fancy store with automatic doors or anything like that. It’s just a solid, local supermarket where you can find what you need. Rudrapur Main Road is a good location because everyone has to pass by us at some point. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people and making sure the fruit and vegetables are fresh. It’s a lot of work to keep a shop running this close to a major tourist route, but we enjoy being part of the community here near Nainital.
