We are down on Bypass Road in Bhimtal. If you are heading that way, you can’t really miss the spot near the bypass road itself. It is a large enough space where we can actually get some practice in. We spend most of our time out there in the sun or under the shade when it gets too hot. It is not a professional stadium, just a good patch of ground where kids can learn to hold a bat and bowl properly. We have some basic gear like nets and a few kits for those who don't have their own yet. The dust gets everywhere especially when it’s dry out, but that’s just part of playing cricket. Usually, the mornings are quiet but the place fills up fast in the late afternoon. Parents often park their bikes on the side of the road to watch for a bit. We don't have a big office or anything. It's mostly just us being out on the field. There is a small shed where we keep the stumps and balls locked up at night. The air in Bhimtal is good for playing, though it gets a bit chilly in the winter months. We just keep going regardless of the weather. It is a very straightforward operation. No fancy uniforms or big memberships, just local kids wanting to play some ball and improve their game a little bit every day. It's a humble setup for local cricket fans.
