Nemu General Store

People usually find Nemu General Store because we are right near the Samadhan Office Thana in the Haldwani Block area. It’s a busy spot here with folks coming in from the villages around Nainital District. The store is just a regular place, nothing fancy. We spend most of the morning getting things ready and making sure the shelves aren't empty. It gets dusty sometimes because of the road, but that is just how it is in this part of Haldwani. We have been in this spot for a while now. You see the same faces every day, mostly people living nearby or workers passing through. There is always a lot of chatter outside near the office. When the weather gets hot, it stays quiet for a bit in the afternoon, but then picks back up by evening. We keep all the basic things people need for their houses. It’s a lot of work carrying crates and checking stock. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit. The shop isn't big, but it holds everything we need to sell. If you walk past the Thana, you can’t miss us. We don't have a big sign or anything like that. Just the building and the items out front. It’s a simple life here in the village block. We just keep the doors open and wait for whoever comes by to get their daily supplies for their kitchen and home.
