If you head down to the Old Sabzi Mandi in Mangal Parao, you’ll find us tucked away there. Haldwani is a noisy place, and this market is right in the middle of it all. We deal with both salty snacks and baked goods, so the shop always has a mix of smells. Some days it’s fresh bread and other days it’s the spices from the namkeen. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside the shop sometimes when the morning crowd comes in from the Mandi. We’ve been part of the Nainital district for a long time. People stop by after they finish their vegetable shopping to pick up a packet of biscuits or some mixture for their evening tea. We don’t really do fancy packaging or anything like that. We just put things in bags and hand them over. The oven runs pretty much all day long. Sometimes we run out of certain things by the evening, which can be annoying for the regulars, but we make everything in small batches. It’s just how we handle things here. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the street outside, but we try to keep the counters clean. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter. We like being part of this neighborhood. It's busy, it's loud, but it's home for the business and has been for years.
