Nainital Hill Tours

Our office is right on Mall Road in Nainital, which is probably one of the busiest places you can be around here. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets during the tourist season. We spend most of our time sitting at the desk, talking to people who have just arrived and want to know where to go. It is a small space, just enough for a couple of chairs and some maps. Working on Mall Road means we see the weather change every few minutes. Sometimes the fog is so thick you can't even see the lake across the street. We mostly help people figure out their travel plans or find a car to take them up into the hills. It’s a lot of explaining which roads are narrow and where the traffic might be stuck. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. We just rely on people walking in and the word of mouth from folks we’ve helped before. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it’s so quiet we just sit and watch the people go by outside. We’ve been here for years, so we know all the local drivers and which spots are actually worth seeing. It’s a simple life, really. We just try to give honest advice about the routes and make sure the cars show up when they are supposed to.
