Kumaon Green Hills Foundation

Our foundation is based in House No. 1A, which is over by SK Puram in the Hari Nagar neighborhood of Haldwani. We are right in the Kusumkhera area of Nainital. Living in this part of Uttarakhand is nice because of the hills, but it also means there are local challenges we face every day. We aren't a big organization with a lot of money. Most of what we do is just small-scale stuff. We might help a family with some school things or look into a problem with the local water. It is not very exciting work, but it is important to the people who live here. We don't have a big board of directors or anything fancy. It is just a few of us who have lived in Haldwani for a long time. We know the neighbors and they know us. We don't have a marketing person to tell our story, so we just tell it ourselves. Sometimes the office is a bit of a mess with papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just local residents who decided to do something useful with our time. The house is easy to find if you are in the Kusumkhera area. We don't have a large sign out front, but everyone knows House 1A. We just take things one day at a time.
