If you’re driving up the Almora Road past Bhowali, you’ll find us near the Kainchi area. It’s a beautiful part of the world, though the roads can be a bit of a challenge when the weather turns bad. Plantiss Agro- Tech Private Limited is based out here because we work with plants and agriculture, so being away from the big city makes sense for us. Our office is more like a farmhouse than a corporate building. We spend a lot of time outside in the dirt or checking on the crops. It’s quiet out here, except for the birds and the occasional truck grinding its gears up the hill. We don't have a lot of fancy technology in the office, just the basics to keep our records straight. The team is small, mostly locals who know the soil and the seasons better than anyone else. We often have tea together in the mornings before we head out to see what needs doing. It’s not a fast-paced life, but it’s busy in its own way. We don’t do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or they’ve heard about what we’re growing. We just try to keep things natural and honest. It’s a good way to live, even if the work is physically tiring and the winters are quite cold.
