Jyoti & Alina Foundation

We are based out in the village of Sintoli, which is under the Nakot post office. P.P. Tod and the family run things here. It is a very rural area, far away from the noise of the bigger towns in Uttarakhand. We don't have a real office like you would see in a city. We just work from our home and the small buildings around us. It is a quiet life, and we like it that way. We started this foundation because there isn't much help for people in these remote parts. We don't have a big staff or a lot of equipment. Most of our work is done by hand or through talking with the other villagers. We help out with whatever is needed, whether it is farming issues or health problems. We don't have a marketing team to write this for us, so it is just us talking. We don't use big words because they don't mean much out here. We just try to be good neighbors and help the community stay strong. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get things done, especially when it rains a lot. But we just keep trying. We don't have a fancy logo or a sign on the road. People know who we are and where we live. It is just a simple, practical way of living and working together.
