Down at Ghanshyam Dham in Lalkua, we have our setup for Century Textiles And Industries Ltd. This is where most of the work happens day in and day out. We have been working with fabrics and industrial materials for a long time. The site at Lalkua is pretty large, and there is always something going on, whether it is loading up trucks or maintaining the heavy machinery we use for production. It’s a loud environment, but you get used to the sound of the looms and the engines after a few days. We don’t have much in the way of a fancy lobby or reception area because we are focused on the actual manufacturing side of things. Most of the staff here have been with us for years and they know the cloth inside and out. We deal with a lot of bulk orders, so the pace can be quite fast when a big shipment is due to leave. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a machine breaks down right when you need it most, but that’s just part of the industry. We just try to keep the quality consistent so that the people buying from us know what they are getting every time they place an order. Lalkua is a good spot for us because of the transport links. We just come in, do our shifts, and make sure the textiles are moving out on schedule without too much fuss or delay.
