Bombay Hospital & Rearch Center

Out here in Haldwani, things move a bit differently than they do in the bigger cities. Our place, the Bombay Hospital & Rearch Center, is located on Avas Vikas Road. It’s right near the Saurabh Hotel, so if anyone is looking for us, we usually just tell them to look for the hotel first. The road can get quite dusty during the dry season, and there’s always a bit of a breeze coming off the hills. The building is simple and doesn't stand out too much from the others on the street. Inside, it’s mostly just white walls and tile floors. We have a small reception area where people wait, and the chairs are those plastic ones that are easy to clean. It gets pretty busy in the mornings when people are traveling in from the smaller villages nearby. I usually spend my time in the back office handling the daily logs. It’s a practical setup. We don’t have much in the way of landscaping, just a few potted plants near the entrance that someone tries to water every now and then. The staff here are all from around this area, so we talk about local things during our breaks. It feels like a small community inside the building. We just do our jobs and try to stay organized. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us on our toes every day.
