Avmarsh Foundation

Our office is located at House Number 28, which is part of the Stoneleigh Compound on the Mall side in Tallital. Basanti Arya and B.R. Arya are the ones who look after the place. If you know the Tallital area, you know it can get quite crowded with tourists during the season, but the compound stays relatively quiet. We started the Avmarsh Foundation because we wanted to have a local base for our activities. It is not a corporate building; it is a real home where we do our work. We have a few desks and a lot of files piled up on the shelves. Sometimes the rain in Nainital makes it hard to get around, but we manage to keep the office open. We spend our days answering calls and organizing things for the local community. We do not have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the area well. We try to keep things simple and honest. You won't find us using big business terms because that is not who we are. We just want to do our bit for the people around the Mall. It gets cold in the evenings here, so we usually have some hot tea going. The walk up to the house is good for the legs but can be tiring. We have been here for a while and plan to stay. People in the neighborhood know the Arya family, so they know where to find us.
