Dream World Interior

Our space at 75/A R B C Road in South Delhi is usually covered in samples and sketches. When you run a place like Dream World Interior, you end up with a lot of wood scraps and fabric swatches all over the place. It is not a showroom that looks like a magazine; it is a working office where we figure things out. People come by to talk about their homes, and we sit around a cluttered table with a lot of tea. R B C Road is a busy area, so there is always the sound of horns in the background while we try to draw up plans. We spend a lot of time on the phone with carpenters or looking for the right shade of paint. It is a lot of back and forth, and things rarely go exactly as planned on the first try. We have drawers full of old catalogs and tape measures that always seem to go missing when you need them. The walls are covered in photos of projects we have finished, some of them a bit crooked. It is a practical business where we just try to make things fit and look okay in the spaces people have. We do not have a big staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from answering the door to moving furniture around. It gets dusty and loud, but it is just our daily routine.
