Running a daily newspaper like Yugdharma Dainik Newspaper keeps us all pretty busy here in Nagpur. We are set up in Poonam Chamber, which is a well-known spot in this part of Maharastra. Every morning starts early because there is always something new happening that needs to be written down. The office usually smells a bit like paper and ink, and there are stacks of old editions sitting in the corners. It can get a bit loud when everyone is talking at once or when the phones start ringing off the hook. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It is just a group of us trying to keep up with the daily news and making sure the paper gets out to the people who read it. Sometimes the rain in Nagpur makes it hard to get things moved around, but we manage. People stop by the office in Poonam Chamber quite often to drop off news or just to say hello. We have been part of the local scene for a long time now. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is what we do. The desks are usually covered in notes and coffee mugs. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks as long as the work gets finished. It is just the way a local newspaper office should be, really. We just keep printing every day and hope for the best.
