About Wter Resourcesdepartment, Govt. Of Maharashtra – Metals & Minerals in Nagpur
This is the office for the Water Resources Department of the Government of Maharashtra. We are located at 82, Navjivan Colony, right on Wardha Road in Nagpur. It’s a government office, so it has that specific feel to it. There are lots of files, old wooden cupboards, and ceiling fans that have been there for years. Being on Wardha Road means it’s easy for people to reach us, as it’s one of the main roads in the city. Navjivan Colony is a decent area, quite central. We have various desks for the different officers and staff who handle the water planning and data for this region. It’s a lot of paperwork and official records. The building is a bit older, with some peeling paint here and there, but it’s sturdy. There are usually a few people waiting in the hallway for various bits of business. We don't have fancy decor or modern art. It’s just maps of the river basins and charts of rainfall on the walls. The atmosphere is professional in a very traditional way. We have a small parking area out front where we keep the office vehicles. In the afternoons, when it gets really hot in Nagpur, the office stays relatively cool because of the thick walls. We just go about our duties, checking records and managing the resources like we are supposed to. It’s a steady kind of work environment and we've been here at Navjivan Colony serving the state for quite a long time.
