We are based in the Sitabuldi part of town, which is always full of life. Our workshop is a bit of a mix between a metal shop and an art studio. On one side, we have the heavy wrought iron pieces being worked on, and on the other, there are canvases with wet paint drying. It is a messy environment, to be honest. There is usually iron dust on the floor and the smell of oil paint in the air. We don't have a clean, white-walled gallery like you might see in a big city. Our pieces are displayed wherever there is space, often leaning against the walls or sitting on worktables. We spend our days hammering metal into shapes or picking up a brush to finish a landscape. People from Pardi and Sitabuldi often stop in because they see us working from the street. We don't have a big sales team; if you want to buy something, you just talk to the person who was just working on it. It’s a hands-on life and we like it that way. Sometimes the iron work takes longer than we thought, or a painting doesn't look right and we have to start over. It is just a normal local workshop where we make things that we hope people will like for their homes.
