We7 Care Foundation

If you’re looking for us, we are at 102 on the ground floor of Pankaj Apartments. This is in Hindustan Colony, right along Wardha Road in Nagpur. You can’t miss the apartment building if you’re driving down the main road. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in when they need something. We started the We7 Care Foundation because we saw a lot of things in our city that could be better. We aren't experts with big degrees or anything, just local people who want to help. The office is pretty basic, just some plastic chairs and a desk where we keep our register. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we have a couple of coolers running all day to keep the place bearable. We get a mix of people coming through the door, some looking for help and others wanting to donate old clothes or books. We just try to manage it all as best as we can. Our phone is always ringing with questions. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up by the end of the week. We’re just a small part of the neighborhood, and we like it that way. We try to keep our doors open for everyone.
