Vrukshdhara Foundation

Vrukshdhara Foundation is located at the home of Bhojraj Laxman Damahe in Chandanitola, which is in the Nagara area. We are not a typical business with a shopfront or a commercial office. Most of what we do is centered around the community and the environment. The name of our foundation is all about trees and nature, and that is what we try to focus on. We don't have any fancy staff or corporate directors. It is mostly just us and some people from the local area who want to help out. We run everything from house number 83. It is a very quiet place compared to the big cities. We spend a lot of our time outside, talking to people or working on small projects to improve the local surroundings. We don't have a big budget or any expensive equipment. Everything is done in a very simple and direct way. If someone has an idea or needs some help with a local issue, they just come by the house and we talk it over on the porch. It feels more like a family effort than a formal organization. We have been doing this for a while now without much publicity. We aren't looking for awards or anything like that, just trying to do our bit for the land and the people living here. It is honest, slow work, but it is very satisfying to see things grow over time in our own small village.
