Vishal Confectionery

Vishal Confectionery sits right on Nari Road, near the Parvi Chowk. We are in the Sanyog Nagar area, and the Hanuman Mandir is the main landmark everyone uses to find us. Being so close to the temple means we get a lot of people passing by, especially on Tuesdays and Saturdays when things get really crowded. The shop itself is filled with the smell of sugar and fried snacks. We have those big glass jars sitting on the counters, filled with different kinds of sweets and biscuits that we sell by the gram or the piece. It’s a noisy spot because of the traffic on Nari Road, but you get used to the sound of horns and engines after a few days. We start our mornings quite early to get everything ready before the first rush of people. There is always a lot of cleaning to do, as the sugar attracts all sorts of things and the road outside is quite dusty. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we sit on stools near the entrance when it’s quiet, just watching the people at Parvi Chowk. It’s a basic shop without any of the fancy branding you see in malls. We just put the treats out and wait for the neighborhood kids or commuters to stop by for a quick snack before they head home.
