Vijaya Medical

Our shop is in the Jai Ambe Building. If you know the Queta Colony Road, you’ve probably seen us right beside the Suzuki showroom. It’s a good spot because everyone passes by here on their way to work or home. We keep Vijaya Medical open pretty much all day, every day. It’s a lot of standing behind the counter and reading prescriptions that are sometimes hard to figure out. People come in for all sorts of things, mostly basic medicines or stuff for their kids like cough syrup or bandages. Nagpur gets really hot in the summer months, so we keep the fans going and try to stay cool while sorting through the various boxes and bottles. We’ve been here in Queta Colony for a bit, and we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not just about selling tablets; people often stop to chat about their day or how their family is doing. We have to be very careful with the inventory because nobody wants to hear that a medicine is out of stock when they really need it. The road outside can get quite noisy with the traffic going towards the main part of the colony. Sometimes it feels like we spend more time dusting the glass shelves than anything else because of the construction work nearby. We just try to be helpful and keep the shop organized enough so we can find what’s needed quickly. It's just a regular local medical store, nothing more, just doing our part.
