Vaishnav Tyres Co. is located in Rajnagar, right near the main road. It's a convenient spot because people can just pull in when they have a problem with their wheels. The main road is always busy, so we see a lot of different vehicles every day. From small scooters to big trucks, we deal with all of them. The shop is usually full of the smell of rubber. We have tires stacked up against the walls and some piled in the back. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but that’s the nature of working with tires. We get grease on our clothes and dirt under our fingernails. That is just part of the job. I started this shop because I knew a bit about mechanics and wanted to work for myself. Now, it's just a regular part of the Rajnagar landscape. We don't have a big staff, just me and a couple of guys who know how to use the tools. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. The walls are mostly covered with old calendars and spare parts. When a customer comes in, we just look at the tire and tell them if it can be fixed or if it needs replacing. We don't try to talk anyone into things they don't need. It’s an honest day's work. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we lock up and head home to rest for the next day.
