We are stationed at the Parichha Thermal Power Station, specifically in the Type II quarters, 389/43A. Being right here in the power station area in Jhansi makes it easy for us to stay on top of the project work we are doing on-site. It is a very industrial environment, so there is always the sound of the plant in the background and a lot of activity from the workers living in the colony. Our office is basically a functional space where we handle the day-to-day planning and technical oversight for the power station projects. It is a bit of a commute from the main city of Jhansi, so most of us stay close to the site. The work is demanding and we have to follow a lot of safety protocols because of where we are located. We spend most of our hours looking at drawings, checking on the progress of the construction, and making sure the materials arrive on schedule. It is a no-nonsense kind of place where we just focus on the job at hand. The weather in Uttar Pradesh can get pretty extreme, especially in the summer, but the work doesn't stop. We have a small, dedicated team here that knows the ins and outs of the plant and how to keep things moving forward even when the shifts are long and the tasks are difficult.
