Tata-Fiat

Down in Nagpur, we have our Tata-Fiat office located at 35 Dhammakirti Nagar. It’s in the Duttawadi area, right off Amravati Road. Being on the main road makes it easy to find, though the traffic noise is something we’ve just had to get used to over the years. The building is a standard brick-and-mortar structure, nothing like the high-tech hubs you might see in the bigger metros. We’ve got a couple of rooms where we manage the paperwork and the technical stuff. The Nagpur heat is no joke, so we spent some money on decent air conditioning just to keep everyone from melting. We don't have any posters with motivational quotes on the walls; we just have calendars and a few charts that we actually use. The team here is pretty tight-knit. We’ve been working together in this spot for a while now. Most of our day is spent dealing with the nuts and bolts of the business. We don't go in for fancy presentations or long-winded speeches. It’s more about checking the numbers and making sure everything is moving along as it should. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away where we usually congregate in the evening before heading home. It’s a plain, honest workspace where we just focus on the job at hand in this part of Maharashtra. We don't need fancy things to get the work done.
