Swaratarang Foundation

Swaratarang Foundation is based in Nagpur, down in the Beltarodi area. Our place is actually Row House Number 81-A in Jayanti Nagri 3. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but it’s a nice enough spot once you find it. The address mentions Khasra No. 8/1, which helps the delivery people find us among all the other row houses. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we usually have the curtains drawn and the coolers running full blast most of the day. It’s a quiet neighborhood, which is good for getting work done without too many distractions. The house isn't very large, so we’ve had to be clever with where we put all our supplies and files. We’ve turned the front room into our main workspace. There’s a small garden patch out front that we try to keep tidy, though the weeds seem to grow faster than we can pull them. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who come in and get to work. Most days are pretty routine, answering emails and keeping track of our records. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we like being part of the Jayanti Nagri community. It feels more like a home than a workplace, which suits the kind of work we do here in Nagpur. We don't worry about being fancy, we just focus on the tasks at hand.
