Supreme Auto Industries

We've been here at D-81 in the MIDC area of Nagapur for a long time now. It gets really hot in the summers, especially inside the shed where the machines are running. Most of us here have been working together for years. We make different auto parts, mostly metal components that go into larger engines. It’s noisy work. You walk in and you hear the lathes and the presses going all day. Sometimes we have a lot of orders and we stay late to get things sorted. The tea stall right outside the gate is where we usually take our breaks. Nagapur is a busy place for industry, and we’re just one small part of it. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It's just a front desk with some old files and then the workshop floor. We try to keep the machines maintained because if one breaks, everything slows down. It’s just us doing the job every day. The floors get greasy no matter how much we sweep. We handle the shipping ourselves too. Someone usually comes by with a truck in the evening to pick up the crates. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy. Most of the guys live nearby, so they bike in every morning. We know the neighbors at the other units around D-81. It feels like a community of people just trying to get things done. We've seen a lot of changes in the MIDC, but our little corner stays mostly the same.
