At SUNPOWER SOLAR SYSTEMS AND SERVICES, we focus on getting solar power set up for people who need it. We don't have a fixed address on this list, but we travel around quite a bit to different sites. Solar systems are what we know, and the services part of our name means we spend a lot of time fixing things or checking that everything is still working right after a storm. It’s a lot of manual labor, carrying heavy panels up ladders and making sure the brackets are bolted down tight. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a group of guys who understand how to wire things up and get the most out of the daylight. The sun can be brutal when you're working on a metal roof, so we try to get the heavy stuff done early in the morning. We talk to customers in their driveways or at their kitchen tables, explaining how the battery works or why the inverter is making a specific sound. There’s no script or sales pitch here. We just show up, do the installation, and make sure it’s running. It's a simple business model. We buy the parts, we put them together, and we make sure the lights stay on. It’s satisfying work when you see the meter start spinning backwards for the first time. We just keep our heads down and keep moving from one job to the next, usually finishing up as the sun starts to dip.
