Shree Padmavati Textiles

You can find us over at W 12 / 12 in the M.I.D.C. Industrial Estate. It’s a typical industrial area, so there’s always a lot of activity and the sound of loaders moving around. Our space is filled with the smell of different fabrics and the hum of the machines. We deal with a lot of textiles, so there are rolls of cloth stacked up nearly to the ceiling in some parts of the warehouse. It can get a bit dusty with all the lint, but we try to keep it as clean as possible. The lighting isn’t anything special, just basic tubes that keep the workspace bright enough for the cutters and folders to see what they’re doing. We don’t really have a fancy showroom. Most people who come here are just looking to pick up orders or check on production runs. The office part is just a couple of desks shoved into a corner where the phone sits. It’s a hardworking environment where nobody really wears a suit. We wear clothes that we don’t mind getting a bit of thread on. Lunch breaks are usually taken in shifts so the work doesn't stop. M.I.D.C. is a big place, and we’re just one small part of it, doing our bit with the textiles day in and day out. It’s straightforward work that keeps us all pretty busy from Monday through Saturday.
