Shakti Memorial Foundation

Shakti Memorial Foundation is based in Rambag, Nagpur, specifically at Flat 303 in Kalptaru Apartment. It’s on the third floor, and the building is easy enough to find once you’re in the Rambag area. We’ve been here for a while now, and the flat is filled with things we’ve collected over the years. It’s not very organized, with stacks of paper on the dining table and boxes in the corners, but we know where everything is. Nagpur weather can be quite something, so the windows are usually kept open for a bit of air. We started this foundation to keep a memory alive and do some good for the people around us. We don't have a receptionist or anything; if you come over, one of us will just open the door and offer you some water. It’s a very informal way of doing things. We handle various local tasks and try to be a helping hand whenever someone asks. The neighborhood is a bit loud during the day, but it settles down in the evening. We don't use any complicated jargon or business talk. We just talk like normal people about what needs to be fixed or who needs help. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the accounts, but mostly we stick to regular hours. It’s a humble place, and we are just regular folks trying to make a small difference from our third-floor flat.
