Seema Medical & Gen. Stores

This store is located right by Naike Talav in the Tandapeth area of Nagpur. Since we carry both medicines and general items our day is quite mixed up. One minute I am looking for a specific tablet someone has a prescription for and the next I am handing out a bottle of hair oil or some detergent. Being near the water means it can get a bit humid but we have a good fan to keep the air moving. The Bangala Desh locality has a lot of families who have known us for a long time. They come in even for small things like a single band-aid or a packet of biscuits. We have to be very careful with the medicine stock, checking the dates and keeping everything in the right boxes. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside with all the glass counters. My cousin helps me out in the evenings when the crowd gets a bit much. We see a lot of people who are worried about their health so we try to be quick with their orders. Nagpur summers are no joke and the shop gets quite warm but we stay open regardless. We don't have any big posters or loud music playing. It is just the sound of the fridge humming and people chatting at the counter. We’ve been in this spot for years and the routine stays pretty much the same day after day.
