We are situated right across from the LTV School on Akashwani Road. The building is called Scholars Villa, and it’s where Dilip Sambhashio Zade started things off. It’s a busy road, especially when school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Search Embroidery And Kantha Stitching Cluster Foundation is more of a workspace than a typical office. You can hear the hum of people working and the specific sound of needles moving through cloth. Kantha stitching takes a lot of time and patience, so the atmosphere is usually quite focused. We have large tables where the fabrics are laid out. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There are threads on the floor and piles of colorful materials in every corner. We don't have a professional cleaning crew coming in every night, so we just tidy up ourselves. It’s a community kind of place. Local women come in to work on their pieces, and there’s usually a lot of quiet conversation going on while they stitch. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just focus on the craft and the foundation's daily activities. Being in front of the school means we are easy to find. It’s a practical location for the work we do. We just keep at it, one stitch at a time, every day, and try to make sure everything stays on schedule with the stitching work.
