About Sainath Screen Art – Fashion & Trends in Nagpur
We have been here at 49 A Savitri Vihar for a long time now. Somal Wada is a quiet enough place but Wardha Road gets really busy during the mornings. When I started Sainath Screen Art, I just wanted a small spot to do my work without too much trouble. Most days, you will find me at the shop with ink on my fingers. Screen printing is messy work, and the smell of the chemicals is something you just get used to after a few years. People come by asking if we can do this or that, and we usually just say yes and get to it. The space isn't very big, but it fits our screens and the drying racks just fine. Sometimes the neighbors come in to chat while we are working. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workshop with a few tables and some lights for the stencils. I usually walk from the main road when the traffic is bad. My desk is covered in old samples and bits of tape. We don’t really have a big sign out front, but people know where we are in Savitri Vihar. The fans hum all day to keep the ink from drying too fast. It's just a regular local business doing what we know. Nothing more to it. We drink tea twice a day and keep the machines running until it’s time to lock up and go home.
