Our office is at No 3 in Gopal Nagar, Nagpur. We are right by the Shewalka Garden near the South Amazari Road Vinit Gate. It is a nice spot because of the greenery nearby, though the roads can get pretty packed with cars during the rush hours. I spend most of my time teaching people how to drive our cars without hitting the curb. It’s a lot of sitting and talking through the basics of the steering wheel. The office in Gopal Nagar is just a simple room with some old chairs and a table where we keep the logs. We have the cars parked nearby, and they get a lot of use every single day. Being near the garden means we have some space to start with the beginners before we head out onto the busier parts of South Amazari Road. I’ve seen all sorts of learners, from young kids to older people who finally decided to learn. The gear shifts are usually the hardest part for them to get used to. We keep the cars maintained as best as we can, though they get dusty pretty fast in this weather. It’s a steady job. Most days start early before the traffic gets too bad. We just do our rounds and then come back to the office to schedule the next day. It’s a practical business and we’ve been in this neighborhood for a good while now.
